Franconibacter daqui is a gram-negative, currently belonging to the class of two species: Franconibacter pulveris and Franconibacter helveticus. They are pseudo-Cronobacter that do not belong to the genus Cronobacter nor Enterobacter. Daqui is a saccharifying agent used to initiate fermentation in the production of Chinese liquor and vinegar .
