The present invention relates to a combustion heater (1) for a crop or arboricultural area. The heater comprises a combustion chamber (2)， a receptacle (8) being arranged in the combustion chamber (2) and comprising an enclosure (80) for receiving a fuel and an exhaust duct (3). According to the invention， the combustion chamber (2) comprises a first area for exchanging air (41) between the outside and the inside of the heater (1). The receptacle (8) comprises an upstream face (81) and a downstream face (82)， the upstream face (81) being opposite the first air exchange zone (410). The receptacle (8) further comprises a surface defining at least one side of an air channel in which air from the first air exchange zone (41) flows.
