We analyzed the gene expression difference following three developmental stages of hypopharyngeal glands in Apis mellifera and Apis cerana (New, Nurse and Forager) using a tag-based digital gene expression (DGE) method. Each sample has two biological replicates. From the twelve DGE-tag libraries, we obtained about 5.8 million clean tags respectively.
