Low genetic diversity and shallow population structure in the broom hare, Lepus castroviejoi (Lagomorpha:Leporidae)

Microsatellite dataset of 322 hare samples from five species: 76 samples from the broom hare (Lepus castroviejoi); 81 for the European hare (L. europaeus); 68 for the Iberian hare (L. granatensis); 77 for the mountain hare (L. timidus); and 20 for the Italian hare (L. corsicanus).
