This study investigates ancient environmental DNA (sedaDNA) extracted from Baltic Sea sediment cores. Hybrid selection was used to enrich for the chloroplast and mitochondrial genomes of the diatom Skeletonema marinoi. The analysis aims to reconstruct organellar genomic fragments across Holocene climate periods.
