Effect of deletion of the ipdc gene, involved in indole-3-acetic acid synthesis, in the biocontrol agent Serratia plymuthica A153

To explore the role of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) as signalling molecule in plant-associated bacteria we analyzed the whole transcriptome of S. plymuthica A153 wild type and its ?ipdc mutant in vitro Overall design: We compared the transcriptome profiles of the parental strain S. plymuthica A153 relative to that of the ipdc mutant by transcriptomic sequencing (RNA-seq). RNA samples from cultures grown in Lysogeny broth medium supplemented with 1mg/mL L-tryptophan until early stationary phase of growth were prepared.
