Watershed precipitation is estimated using the Thiessen Means weighting method. Daily watershed precipitation values are a weighted average of daily precipitation from standard gages in or near the watershed. The weighting factor for each gage is the fraction of the watershed area nearest that gage. These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study (HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is operated and maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station.

流域降水量采用泰森均值加权法(Thiessen Means weighting method)进行估算。流域日降水量为流域内及周边标准雨量站日降水量的加权平均值,各雨量站的权重因子为该站点控制的流域面积占流域总面积的比例。本数据集作为哈伯布鲁克生态研究(Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study, HBES)项目的一部分收集所得。哈伯布鲁克生态研究是依托哈伯布鲁克实验林开展的协作项目,该实验林由美国农业部林务局(USDA Forest Service)北方研究站运营维护。
