NiAl powders were enhanced by graphene oxide dispersion in water, which was then coated onto A36 steel using plasma spray. The provided data includes X-ray diffraction analysis and micro-Raman spectroscopy analysis of the enhanced powders and the sprayed coatings. The data related to Potentiodynamic polarization testing and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy are also provided to showcase the corrosion performance of the coatings after 1 hour and after 30 days of exposure to a 3.5% NaCl solution.
