The large, colossal creations of the 4th and 5th Centuries before Christ were mostly marked as being created in Greek workshops and ateliers, following the then Roman hellenistic style . Due to the absense of archeological context and given this constant technique from these Greek aterliers, it is often diffuclt to give a precise date for sculptures made in this time. This marble head of a man is much larger than life, suggesting that it depicted someone heroic, powerful or godlike. This object is part of Scan The World.
