The SI Node Primary Board was deployed on 2006-02-08 at Saanich Inlet. Saanich Inlet is a fjord on Vancouver island, extending from Satellite Channel in the north to Finlayson Arm in the south. This device is a Node. Nodes are underwater structures that interface between the backbone fibre-optic cable and extension cables to various platforms. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
