One of the studied populations within the project “Human Resources Management in SAF: Contractual reserve, Families and Demobilization” are voluntary contract reserve soldiers of Slovenian Armed Forces. Searching for the contract reserve in the labor market, which would be willing to attend military training in addition to their first job, is quite a complex process. It requires special approach, which should, besides the financial compensation, offer an exciting job, additional benefits, appropriate patriotic values ​​and the right schedule of training, since military reservists attend it in their free time. The main aim of the research is to collect relevant information that would enable the development of appropriate strategy for recruiting, retention and management of contract reserve soldiers.
