This dataset accompanies the following publication:Rezaeiravesh, S., Mukha, T., & Liefvendahl, M. (2018). a-Priori Study of Wall Modeling in Large Eddy Simulation. In ECCM-ECFD 2018, Glasgow, UK.The dataset provides velocity signals from a well-resolved LES of channel flow. The velocity is spatially averaged in space over cubes with side-length delta/30 and delta/20. This intends to mimic the velocity signal from a wall-modelled LES. Note that now time-filtering is applied, and data at each time-step of the wall-resolved LES is provided.Different files correspond to different consecutive wall-normal positions of the cube.So, for example, 20_1.csv contains data from a cube with side delta/20, which lower boundary is located at the wall and the upper boudnary and delta/20. And e.g. 30_2.csv contains data from a cube with side delta/30, lower boundary at delta/30 and upper boundary and 2delta/30.Additionally, two more files, 20_yw.csv and 30_yw.csv are provided. These contain velocity signal averaged over a surface of (delta/20)^2 and (delta/30)^2, respectively. The wall normal location of the surface is at the center of the wall-adjacent cell of the wall-resolved simulation, corresponding to y+=0.445. The averaged wall shear stress components, computed directly from the averaged velocity, is also included.For more details, please refer to the publication.Please cite it, if you use the data.
