The microbial community in Beishiku Temple is primarily influenced by factors such as moisture, temperature, humidity, and light intensity. To effectively mitigate further damage to the cave structure caused by natural precipitation, we erected an experimental protective shelter and evaluated effectiveness. However, following the shelter completion, there was a rapid growth of grey and black spot in the moss and biofilm regions of the cave. To identify diseases communities and their triggering factors after the shelter construction, we employed the next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology to unveil changes in core microbial communities, and explore microenvironmental variations and their ecological adaptability.
