In two-dimensional (2D) space, SMDB can spatially integrate molecular data and morphological information; in three-dimensional (3D) space, it can jointly display molecular features, spot spatial features, and cell type features to interactively explore gene expression atlases and the spatial distribution of cell types within tissues.
