Visual Attention and Response Time to Distinguish Athletes from Non-Athletes: A Virtual Reality Study

In recent years, cutting-edge technologies have been increasingly integrated into sports to assess physical and cognitive capacities. Virtual Reality (VR) technology has emerged as a powerful tool, offering an immersive and controlled scenario for examining cognitive functions. In light of the growing adoption of VR-systems, this study aimed to investigate the differences in visual attention and response time (RT) between athletes and non-athletes utilizing a VR-system and evaluate the discriminatory power of VR assessments towards the two population groups.近年来，前沿技术愈发深度融入体育领域，以评估身体与认知能力。虚拟现实（Virtual Reality, VR）技术已成为一款强大工具，能够提供沉浸式且可控的实验场景，用于考察认知功能。鉴于VR系统的应用愈发普及，本研究旨在借助VR系统探究运动员与非运动员在视觉注意力及反应时（Response Time, RT）上的差异，并评估VR评估手段对这两类人群的区分能力。
