Genome-wide transcriptome analysis of brain region (ventral part of telenchephalon, hypothalamus and pituitary) in grass puffer (Takifugu alboplumbeus)

We compared the gene expression of ventral part of telenchephalon, hypothalamus and pituitary in grass puffer (Takifugu alboplumbeus) between the spring and neap tides during the breeding season using RNA-seq. To compare expression profile between the spring and neap tides, we collected wild male grass puffers (Takifugu alboplumbeus) at their spawning site, Minamichita, Japan every week (i.e., new, waxing, full and waning moons) for 2 months and performed RNA-seq analysis.
