Report on Gosford Lagoon Openings June-July 1994

Comparison of the 1994 and 1993 events show similarities in some areas and differences in others. Observation of more events, (say 10 or more), may be required before a clearer picture can be obtained. The recording of more extensive data such as tides, wave activity, winds and berm geometry would provide a better understanding of the processes, and this is recommended for any future openings initiated by Council.

对四座潟湖的水位信息进行连续监测，有助于理解其入口开口的行为规律。通过对比1993年与1994年的开口事件，可发现部分区域存在相似特征，其余区域则呈现出差异。若要获得更清晰的研究认知，或需观测至少10次及以上的开口事件。补充记录潮汐、波浪活动、风速及岸堤几何形态等更全面的数据，将有助于更深入地理解潟湖开口的相关过程，因此建议市政委员会在后续由其发起的潟湖开口相关工作中采纳该数据采集方案。
