Validation and application of long-read whole genome sequencing for AMR detection and predictive AST

The study validates a best practice protocol for ONT-based WGS of bacterial isolates in terms of DNA extraction methods, library preparations and sequencing run setup. 50 clinical isolates recovered from positive blood cultures are analysed using this validated workflow and the accuracy of predictive AST compared to experimental data is assessed.
