Defining the user needs for an assistive paediatric hand exoskeleton: An Italian explorative survey
This dataset contains responses from an anonymous survey distributed via email between April 2024 and July 2024 to parents of children with neurological disorders who had previously received treatment at the Scientific Institute IRCCS E. Medea – Associazione “La Nostra Famiglia” in Bosisio Parini, Italy. During this period, a reminder was sent to all subscribers of the mailing list. Participation was restricted to parents of children with upper-limb impairments. All parents had previously provided consent to be recontacted via email, and the survey invitation included a link to our data processing policy in compliance with GDPR. The aim of the survey was to explore end-user needs and design requirements for pediatric hand exoskeletons. In particular, the questionnaire focused on functional assistance requirements for potential end users, with special attention to mobility, reaching, and handling tasks relevant to daily activities at home and in the broader community. The list of questions of the survey is available in the appendix of the paper " Defining the user needs for an assistive paediatric hand exoskeleton: An Italian explorative survey", submitted to "Assistive Technology"
