Indonesian President Joko Widodo said that generation Z will transform Indonesian politics by 2045. The president's statement needs to be clarified, in which direction and with what kind of communication strategy the change in the face of politics imposed on Gen-Z will be achieved. If we want to direct the potential of Gen-Z towards a better change for the future of Indonesia, then from now on it is necessary to formulate a communication model that is adequate and in accordance with the characteristics of Gen-Z. How and with what communication strategy will this happen? This study explores the political communication strategy for Gen Z in the Indonesia 2024 election. Data were collected from interviews with Gen-Z and political party and regional KPU figures in West Java. The findings show that Gen-Z in West Java are not apolitical, but they do not use Information and Communication Technology effectively to access political information and knowledge. Political parties and the KPU have not found an adequate communication strategy to connect with Gen-Z. However, most Gen-Z in West Java will vote in the 2024 election. There is a need to bridge the gap between Gen-Z and political institutions with a suitable political communication model for Gen-Z.
