- AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperature: The patented index that provides a perceived temperature based on the inclusion of several factors such as temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation, cloud cover, UV index, and sun angle. Each factor is combined within a proprietary algorithm that derives what the air temperature feels like to the average person, both cold and warm, and a measure of the human body’s comfort level
- AccuWeather RealFeel® Shade: The patented indicator provides a perceived temperature based on the inclusion of several factors such as temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation, cloud cover, UV index, and the sun angle. Each factor is combined within a proprietary algorithm that derives what the air temperature feels like to the average person if screened from direct sunlight and a measure of the human body’s comfort level
- Predominant Precipitation Type: Describes the main type of liquid or frozen precipitation to fall
- UV Index: An index derived from factors including but not limited to cloud cover, cloud ceiling, and location elevation that provides the level of risk of overexposure to solar UV radiation on a scale from 0 to 11 or more. 0 indicating a low risk and 11 indicating an extremely high risk
- Minutes of Sun: A derived parameter indicating the amount of time within the period the location has exposure to sunlight expressed in minutes
