Onésime Reclus

Onésime Reclus (1837-1916) was a French geographer who specialized in the relations between France and its colonies. He also invented the term Francophonie as a means of classification of peoples of the world, being determined by the language (French) they spoke. This bust-stele of him shows his portrait, yet none of his body, instead the bronze figure is covered with inscriptions outlining his discoveries and publications.埃内西姆·勒克吕（Onésime Reclus，1837-1916）是法国地理学家，其研究专长为法国与海外殖民地之间的关系。他还首创了“法语圈（Francophonie）”这一术语，用于依据人们所使用的语言（法语）对世界各民族进行分类。这座半身碑像（bust-stele）仅呈现了他的肖像，未刻画其身体部分，整座青铜塑像表面布满铭文，详述了他的学术发现与出版成果。
