Langmuir probe data of SNIPE-B during superstorm between May 10 and 12, 2024.
The SNIPE mission organized by Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) was designed to investigate microscale plasma structures in the Earth’s ionosphere and the magnetosphere. The mission consists of four 6U CubeSats, each weighing approximately 10 kg. The SNIPE constellation was launched on May 25, 2023, from the Naro Space Center in South Korea using a Nuri (KSLV-II) rocket. The Langmuir probe of SNIPE-B successfully observes the May 2024 geomagnetic storm. The dataset is electron density(Ne) and electron temperature(Te). In addition, geographic latitude (GLAT), geographic longitude (GLON), altitude (ALT), magnetic latitude (MLAT), and magnetic local time (MLT) are included. The data period is from 2024-05-10 9:38:46 to 2024-05-12 21:26:05.
