Daily average NO2 concentrations for selected Chinese cities during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) lockdown. Observations were obtained from the China National Environmental Monitoring Center. Original CMAQ model predictions were based on the 2017 Multiresolution Emission Inventory of China (MEIC). Optimized predictions were from a second CMAQ run using adjusted sectoral emissions of NO2 as described in the manuscript.
