Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, N'Gouja, colony 05 Isopora palifera, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集为针对法国海外领地马约特岛开展的野外调查采样成果。马约特是坐落于印度洋西部（Western Indian Ocean，WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部的科摩罗群岛的组成部分。研究团队于2021年10月至2025年9月间开展10次野外作业，对分布于2~8米水深、涵盖岸礁（fringing reef，F）与内部斑礁（inner patch reefs，IPR）两类的5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统进行采样，涉及的采样点分别为Aéroport International、Île Blanche、Jolly Roger、N'Gouja及Surprise。
