It is estimated that every day approximately two million tons of industrial and domestic wastes are disposed of the water bodies worldwide (Pacific Institute 2010; UN WWAP, 2003). This is as a result of the increasing industrializations of most developing countries which have contributed significantly to the increased pollution of both land and water ways (Alam, 2010; Kraemer et al., 2001). Most of the research conducted in the globally focus on the impact of industrialization on the developed countries. However, a growing number of studies are now highlighting the microbial communities in the effluent water and its impact on the environment. Here we study the microbial communities of five different industrial effluents using NGS technology for bioremediation process.
