This project focuses on the whole genome sequencing of Xanthomonas euvesicatoria strain XR13, which was isolated in February 2023 from rose (Rosa spp.) plants showing bacterial leaf spot symptoms in Dong Thap Province, the primary rose growing area in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. Strain XR13 has been identified as the causative agent of bacterial leaf spot disease on rose plants. The availability of its genomic data will contribute to a better understanding of pathogen biology, host pathogen interactions, and the epidemiology of X. euvesicatoria. These data will support the development of effective disease management strategies for rose cultivation and sustainable agricultural practices in the Mekong Delta.
