The goal of this study was to determine the prevalence of human pathogens in river water collected from various sites along the Oropuna River, East Trinidad, West Indies. The contigs were screened for potential antibiotic resistant and virulent genes as well as mobile genetic elements that may contribute to the spread of the genes detected.
