IMOS - ANMN South Australia (SA) Deep-Slope Mooring (SAM7DS)

The SA Deep-Slope Mooring (IMOS platform code: SAM7DS) is one of five South Australian regional moorings designed to monitor particular oceanographic phenomena in coastal ocean waters. The mooring is located at Latitude:-36.18, Longitude:135.85. It was first deployed in December 2009.\n\nThis mooring in conjunction with SAM3MS are placed directly along the shelf gradient from NRSKAI to the shelf break. The purpose of these moorings is to monitor the cross-shelf structure of any currents moving along the shelf break. They are also used to monitor any uplifted ocean water that may be present during the summer upwelling conditions in the SAIMOS region.\n\nThe Deep-Slope Mooring is maintained for 6-8 months each year, during summer/autumn depending on logistics.

南澳深坡锚系（IMOS平台代码：SAM7DS）是五套南澳大利亚区域锚系观测系统之一，旨在监测近岸海域的特定海洋学现象。该锚系布设于纬度-36.18、经度135.85的位置，于2009年12月首次布放。

该锚系与SAM3MS一同沿陆架梯度布设，站位覆盖从NRSKAI至陆架坡折带的范围。此类锚系的布设目的为监测沿陆架坡折带流动的海流的跨陆架结构，同时也用于监测南澳IMOS区域夏季上升流条件下可能出现的抬升海水。

该深坡锚系每年需开展6至8个月的维护工作，维护时段为夏季/秋季，具体安排需视后勤保障情况而定。
