* pRecombinant human Delta4 (rhDLL4) in gelatin was adsorbed to tissue culture plates before plating of MCF7 cells for 24 and 48 hours. The cells were collected and analyzed for expression of CD44+ CD24low and tested for mammosphere formation. At both time points the CD44+ CD24low expressing population and number of mammosphere formed were significantly increased following exposure to the ligand.
