Serial (SSX): Southampton, Essex, Exeter, KCL, Stockholm Block Allocation Group (BAG)

This BAG coordinates work in serial synchrotron crystallography, SSX. The Essex and Southampton groups have excessive experience with this technique and have carried out work at DLS I24 and SACLA. Exeter and KCL have microcrystalline samples that were initially developed for use in microED. The proposal aims at collecting low dose ground states and, if possible, collect dose series and time resolved structures in enzyme and RedOx systems.
For sample preparation including fixed target chip loading and handling microcrystals we require the use of the humidity and temperature controlled sample preparation laboratory next to the ID29 hutch. Proteins are readily crystallise in batch conditions with seeds, and therefore if needed microcrystals could be produced on site during the beamtime. Access to spectroscopy is required, icOS and online.
