Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Jolly Roger, colony 03 Acropora humilis, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集源自法国海外领地马约特岛的野外调查工作。马约特地处西印度洋（WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部，隶属于科摩罗群岛。本次研究共对5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统开展采样，涉及的采样点分别为国际机场礁、布兰岛礁、快乐罗杰礁、恩古贾礁与惊喜礁，涵盖水深2~8米区间内的岸礁（fringing reef，缩写F）与内部斑块礁（inner patch reefs，缩写IPR）；野外采样工作于2021年10月至2025年9月期间，通过10次野外考察完成。
