Continuous wind measurements by a UHF wind profiler during the WMO UAS-DC at Meteorological Research Institute, Japan

Meteorological drone profiling was made at the Meteorological Research Institute (MRI) / Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), Tsukuba City, Japan, from 1 March to 30 April 2024 as a part of the WMO UAS-Demonstration Campaign. In this campaign, continuous vertical wind measurements (e.g., wind speed and direction) from 150 to 5200 m with 42 layers were made by a UHF (1.3 GHz) wind profiler (LAP3000, Scintec). MRI/JMA operated the instrument and provided the data. This data can be provided only for evaluating WMO UAS-DC drone meteorological data.本数据集作为世界气象组织（World Meteorological Organization, WMO）无人机示范活动（UAS-Demonstration Campaign）的组成部分，于2024年3月1日至4月30日在日本筑波市的气象研究所（Meteorological Research Institute, MRI）与日本气象厅（Japan Meteorological Agency, JMA）开展气象无人机廓线探测工作。本次活动中，科研团队采用超高频（Ultra High Frequency, UHF，1.3 GHz）风廓线仪（型号LAP3000，厂商Scintec），完成了150米至5200米高度范围内共42层的连续垂直风场观测，观测要素包括风速与风向。气象研究所与日本气象厅负责该仪器的运维及数据提供。本数据仅可用于世界气象组织无人机示范活动（WMO UAS-DC）相关的无人机气象数据评估工作。
