Spatial development concept for the Outer Port in Gdańsk - work number 1/22/23

The research series presents in a form of a design chart possible variants of the spatial layout of the water and land areas of the Outer Port of Gdańsk using different combinations of terminals with different annual turnover volumes. Individual works in the series present different solutions for anchorages, channels, port entrances, turntables and basins, both in terms of their size and mutual location. Work number 1/22/23 is the subject of this study.
The work number 1/22/23 provide for the westward extension of the North Port of Gdansk. The premise of the new part of the port is based on the construction of a new land area surrounding the main port water from the west. The main water body will be accessible from an eastern entrance, which will be connected to the existing approach channel to the North Port. In the area of the newly reclaimed land there are two port basins and a large turning table.
