Yosemite Streptanthus tortuosus seed and plant size data 2016

Data were collected during June and September 2016 in Yosemite National Park. The data contains information about plant size (stem diameter and height) and seed mass for nine populations of Streptanthus tortuosus (Mountain jewel flower). I measured the stem diameter at the base of each plant using electronic calipers and measured the height of each plant using a tape measure. The mean individual seed mass (MISM) was determined by weighing 35 seeds from each plant, then dividing that value by 35 to determine an average individual seed mass. The dataset also contains coordinates and elevation for each of the nine populations. This data will be used to study geographic variation in these traits and determine if variation in these adaptive traits is correlated with local climate.
