These files contain applications from both government and private organisations for funding or endorsement of projects to celebrate the bicentennial year. Also included are requests for advice, building plans (where applicable) and copies of letters from the Council acknowledging each project's success or failure to gain endorsement/funding. The files relate to unsuccessful project applications (including those referred to the Australian Bicentennial Authority because of their national rather than state emphasis), as well as projects that were endorsed and completed before 1988.
