Data from: Multifunctional soil recovery in the restoration of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest after bauxite mining

This data displays soil physical and chemical properties and microbial parameters including NGS data describing the diversity of bacterial communities. The study was conducted in 2013 in the private reserve of Retiro Branco and Córrego do Meio farm, in the municipality of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. The variables are provided for different kind of areas (mined area, restored and conserved forest) at depths ranging from the surface down to 40 cm (with the exception of microbial parameters, only for the 0-10 cm depth).
