Weed control and revegetation in the dunes behind seven beaches in Wollongong

Management of dune vegetation was identified in the 'Draft Coastal Zone Management Plan (2012)' with a specific action to develop a Dune Management Strategy. The Wollongong Dune Management Strategy, along with an 'Implementation Plan for the Dune Management Strategy', were adopted by Council in 2013. This Implementation Plan included the specific actions 'additional management of noxious and Invasive weed species', 'management of subspecies of Acacia longifolia', and 'establish a volunteer Dunecare program', all of which are included in this project.

《2012年海岸带管理计划草案》明确了沙丘植被管理相关工作，并提出制定沙丘管理策略的专项行动。伍伦贡（Wollongong）沙丘管理策略及其配套的《沙丘管理策略实施方案》于2013年获地方议会审议通过。该实施方案包含三项具体工作：有害入侵杂草的强化管理、长叶金合欢（Acacia longifolia）各亚种的治理，以及建立志愿者沙丘管护（Dunecare）项目，上述所有内容均已纳入本次项目范畴。
