The dataset contains raw Fourier-transform infrared spectras, quartz phenocrytal photos and evaluation of FTIR data to quantify the structural hydroxyl content of quartz phenocrysts originated from pyroclastic fallout deposits of the Bükk Foreland Volcanic Area (BFVA, Hungary) and of the AD1314 Kaharoa eruption (New Zealand). The obtained spectra can be processed using the OPUS® software (preferably with OPUS 7.2.139.1294 version). (2025-06-19)
