The number of tweets and the value of normalized happiness (where the happiness value of the text element itself is included) are listed in the third and fourth columns, with the ranking of the text element according to these quantities shown in brackets. For this list of text elements, we obtained additional happiness scores for phrases, punctuation, emoticons, etc., using Mechanical Turk. All pattern matches with tweets were case-insensitive. Table S1 shows the same table sorted by normalized happiness .
