During the development of mammalian brain, maturation of parvalbumin-positive interneurons (PV cells) is essential for proper rewiring of neuronal circuit by experience. This project aims to clarify PV cell-specific transcriptome changes during postnatal development in mouse cerebral cortex. In addition, the role of Nipbl, which is mutated in Cornelia de Lange syndrome including mental retardation, in the regulation of gene expression in PV cells is examined.
