CALMED

CALMED is a multimodal annotated dataset for emotion detection tailored specifically for autistic children, developed by the University of Galway, Ireland. It comprises 57,012 samples, with each sample representing 200 milliseconds of video and audio features. All samples are annotated into four target categories by the children's parents based on the 'Emotion Regulation Zone' framework. The dataset includes audio and video features extracted from conversational recording files of study participants, alongside annotations provided by the parents. Due to COVID-19 restrictions during the creation process, physiological signal inputs were excluded. CALMED is intended to support future affective computing research focused on autism, aiming to develop systems that enhance the quality of life for autistic children.
