The Beacon dataset is a naturalistic driving dataset collected by a research team from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, during a city-wide power outage in Memphis. It captures traffic dynamics over a four-hour period at two complex intersections. This dataset provides comprehensive vehicle trajectories, lane-level information, and precise timestamps, supporting research on traffic behavior under unsignalized conditions. The dataset’s development includes video data acquisition, manual annotation and validation procedures, which guarantee its high data quality. Primarily intended for benchmarking traffic reconstruction and traffic control methods, this dataset aims to resolve urban traffic management challenges during power outages and enhance the resilience of transportation systems.
