Thuqeibah Excavation 2018, Sharjah

Thuqeibah is an important Iron Age archaeological site located in the municipality of al Madam, in the Emirate of Sharjah (United Arab Emirates). It has been dated to around 900 BC. It includes a well-preserved village and an extensive area of irrigated crops with a complex water distribution network, supplied by a main underground channel called falaj. The site has been excavated since 1994 by a Spanish research team from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with the support of the Sharjah Archaeology Authority. 图盖巴（Thuqeibah）是阿拉伯联合酋长国沙迦酋长国阿勒玛达姆（al Madam）市辖境内一处重要的铁器时代考古遗址，年代测定为公元前900年左右。遗址包含一处保存完好的村落，以及大片配有复杂输水网络的灌溉农田，其主地下输水渠道名为法拉吉（falaj）。该遗址自1994年起，由马德里自治大学（Universidad Autónoma de Madrid）的西班牙研究团队在沙迦考古局（Sharjah Archaeology Authority）的支持下开展发掘工作。本模型对应2018年发掘季中法拉吉（falaj）的一段发掘剖面，由卡门·德尔·塞罗·利纳雷斯（Carmen del Cerro Linares）主持发掘。
