Against this background, this study designed a novel cerium oxide-coated mesoporous silica nanoparticle loaded with sodium butyrate (CeO2@MSN@SB). The primary aim was to regulate gut microbiota and immune responses to improve pregnancy outcomes in a mouse model of PE.
