Regional landscape differences lead to contrasts in the strength of environmental sorting among crustacean zooplankton metacommunities

This dataset was collected in the summers of 2011, 2012 and 2013 by the Industrial Research Chair in Carbon Biogeochemistry in Boreal Aquatic Systems (CarBBAS) in Saguenay, Côte-Nord and Schefferville, three boreal regions of Quebec, Canada. The dataset contains cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (CO1) metabarcoding of bulk zooplankton samples for each of 117 lakes spanning these three regions, as well as the coordinates, water chemistry, and morphometry of the lakes. This data was used to investigate the structuring processes of crustacean zooplankton metacommunities using joint species distribution models.本数据集由加拿大魁北克省三大寒带区域——萨格奈（Saguenay）、北海岸（Côte-Nord）及谢弗维尔（Schefferville）的寒带水生系统碳生物地球化学工业研究主席项目（CarBBAS）于2011、2012与2013年夏季采集得到。该数据集涵盖横跨上述三个区域的117个湖泊各自的混合浮游动物样本的细胞色素c氧化酶亚基1（cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1, CO1）元条形码测序数据，同时包含各湖泊的空间坐标、水化学参数及湖泊形态学指标。本数据集曾被用于借助联合物种分布模型，探究甲壳类浮游动物元群落的构建过程。
