Hydrogeochemical Analysis of Water and Sediment from the Romanian Danube (August 2019) – PN 19 20 02 04, National Project

The dataset comprises hydrogeochemical data from the Romanian section of the Danube River. The data were collected on board the R/V ISTROS during a research cruise conducted between 8 and 30 August, 2019, as part of the national project “Development of an Integrated Management Framework for Pilot Areas in the Romanian Sector of the Danube River, Influenced by Climate Change and Anthropogenic Interventions, through the Application of Advanced Investigation Methodologies (Geophysical, Remote Sensing, Sedimentological, Morphological, Biological” (PN 19 20 02 04). One hundred forty-three water sampling stations, distributed across four sectors of the Danube (Corabia, Bechet, Pisculet-Desa, Golenti-Cetate), were used to investigate water by the GeoEcoMar team. Additionally, 143 sediment samples were collected from the same sectors using Van Veen grabs and analysed at the GeoEcoMar laboratory.
