This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of the EIEE in the context of digital education. The article explores, functions and role of the EIEE in the educational process. It also covers its structural framework, namely information resources, digital educational platforms, interactive tools, pedagogical technologies and management components as an interconnected system. The article scientifically substantiates that the effective design and implementation of the EIEE is an important factor in improving the quality of education, creating an individual learning path and developing digital competencies. The results of the study are of scientific and practical importance in organizing digital education.
