Object class PillarSpecialPCRS describes structures of masonry or metal, of polygonal, circular, square, rectangular cross-section, erected for the purpose of taking back or bearing loads. In a concern for homogeneity between topographic data and PCRS data produced elsewhere, this class of objects includes all the pillars whether they are ‘special’, ‘regular’, circular, square, rectangular or polygonal. The RegularPillarPCRS object class is therefore not used. This class of objects is therefore represented only by closed polylines. When the pillar is associated with a base or wall, it is usually not returned.
