Materials Data on Ta3C by Materials Project

Ta3C is Uranium Silicide-like structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Ta is bonded in a distorted see-saw-like geometry to four equivalent C atoms. There are two shorter (2.72 Å) and two longer (2.83 Å) Ta–C bond lengths. C is bonded to twelve equivalent Ta atoms to form a mixture of face and corner-sharing CTa12 cuboctahedra.

Ta3C 具有类硅化铀（Uranium Silicide）结构，结晶于六方晶系P6_3/mmc空间群。该结构为三维结构。钽（Ta）原子以畸变跷跷板型配位几何与四个等价的碳原子成键，Ta-C键存在两组键长：两个较短的2.72 Å以及两个较长的2.83 Å。碳原子则与十二个等价的钽原子成键，形成兼具面共享与角共享特征的CTa12立方八面体结构单元。
